CAVE EXPLORING

 

On either of our trips on the South Shore we can take you to explore the cave and stunning remote beaches on the southwest tip of the island. Split rock/Pirate’s Cove is most known for its adrenaline pumping cliff jumping, but is also home to a historic open cave.

 

This cave is where many sailors found shelter after their ships had wrecked on the Caicos Banks. While you explore the cave, don’t be surprised to find many inscriptions from these sailors dating back to the 1800’s! A definite and intriguing stop for any history buff or teacher! If the open faced cave at Split Rock isn’t enough, ask us about arranging a trip to take you and your group to explore the Conch Bar Caves in the Middle Caicos!
